Interesting Article - Future Creep

I ran across an interesting article through Digg on the 37Signals site. The comments are definitely worth the time to review and raise good points about the words "always" and "never." I agree with the article's main point but I also agree that there are times when planning for the future are necessary. When you have a moment, take a read: Beware of Future Creep.

Future creep is definitely a hot thing these days... That article seems to be an extremist point of view. I think one should pad certain things with expandability (e.g. using a database for data storage even though XML might work for a little while and would be quicker). It's good that people are starting to acknowledge this phenomenon, though!
